Procedures

Procedure Description:
Breast Lift (Mastopexy) raises and reshapes the sagging breast by removing excess skin and repositioning the remaining tissue and nipples.

What To Expect:
The most attractive location for the nipple is approximately half the distance from elbow to shoulder. This correspondes with the location of the fold beneath the breast. Fallen nipples are raised to this level utilizing incisions placed at the junction of the nipple and areolar skin within the lighter skin of the breast and beneath the breast below the nipple.

Preprocedure:
During your pre-operative consultation in our office Dr. Harvey will take your medical history, perform an examination, take clinical photographs, and recommend and explain the procedure that is appropriate for you. Patient Coordinators, Patricia Gottschalk and Mamie Lee, will discuss financial information and assist in scheduling your procedure.

Postprocedure:
Back to work: 1 week or more. Strenous activities: 1 month. Fading of scars: several months to a year or more. Duration of results: variable; gravity, pregnancy, aging, and weight changes may cause new sagging. Results may last longer when breast implants are inserted as part of the procedure.
